10 Years to Now

To now, and the ten years previous, I have spent a lot of time and money trying to make Internet marketing (IM) work. Easily I have spent thousands of dollars and made a tiny fraction of that back.

Yes, I spent a lot, and yes, I learned a lot. I would say two things drove me. The first was to make money and supplement my retirement income. The second was I was fascinated with the different marketing approaches and different niches that seemed to meld into a giant puzzle that needed solving. I love puzzles. Unfortunately, I never solved it for long, briefly yes, but not long enough to make serious money.

In the past, I would find something on the Warrior Forum or someone selling something from JVZoo or their own product creations that looked promising, hopeful, and interesting to use. But when that wouldn’t work, I’d move on to something else, and then something else, and no money earned! Some folks call it chasing the shiny object syndrome. I had the problem for sure!

There were so many software programs, training videos, eBooks, that I would forget what I had and would be amazed at how much I had collected when looking back into older file folders. Sad, but that was me!! Actually, I had triple that, because everything I had was backed up on three external drives. But there was always new stuff coming down the pipe for me to learn and try to make it work.

Finally, the bulb went off in my head, and I realized what I had to do. That will be the subject of my next post.
